Beast of Reincarnation requires 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12, and 45 GB of SSD storage at minimum. The official minimum GPU is a GTX 1070 8 GB or RX 580 8 GB; the recommended level is an RTX 3060 12 GB or RX 6700 XT 12 GB. The recommended target is 1080p at 60 fps on Medium with upscaling.
Official minimum requirements
- Operating system: Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 8 GB
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 45 GB available space on an SSD
Steam describes this configuration as targeting Low settings at 1080p and 40 fps. Its note specifies DLSS for RTX 20–50 series cards or FSR 1 in Performance mode. Hardware at the minimum line should not be assumed to deliver native-resolution 60 fps.
Official recommended requirements
- Operating system: Windows 11, 64-bit
- Processor: Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 45 GB available space on an SSD
Steam describes the recommended target as Medium settings at 1080p and 60 fps with DLSS or FSR 3 in Performance mode. That is an upscaled target, not a promise of 60 fps at native resolution or at Ultra settings. Current patches and scene complexity can change real results.
Is 16 GB RAM enough?
Both official tiers list 16 GB RAM. That means 16 GB meets the published requirement, but background browsers, recording software, overlays, and launchers still consume memory. Close unnecessary applications before diagnosing stutter or swapping.
More memory may improve system headroom, but the official page does not claim a specific benefit from 32 GB. A universal 32 GB recommendation is therefore To be confirmed, not treated as a mandatory upgrade. Check actual memory use on your machine.
Why VRAM matters
The listed GPUs specify 8 GB at minimum and 12 GB at recommended. Do not compare only the GPU family name while ignoring its memory configuration. A similarly named laptop or lower-memory model may behave differently from the desktop card in Steam's table.
Texture quality and resolution are typical VRAM pressure points, so lower them if the game exceeds available memory or becomes unstable. Exact per-setting VRAM use is To be confirmed for each card. The best PC settings guide gives a safe tuning sequence.
SSD and free space
An SSD is explicitly required at both tiers, with 45 GB of available space listed. Keep additional free space for installation unpacking, shader or system caches, and patches rather than filling the drive to its last gigabyte. The final installed size can change after updates.
Steam does not list a hard-drive fallback. Installing on an HDD may create loading or streaming behavior outside the supported target. Treat SSD storage as part of the requirement, not an optional optimization.
Laptop, handheld, and ultrawide notes
Laptop parts can use the same family name as desktop hardware while operating at different power limits. Compare measured performance, cooling, and VRAM rather than assuming name equality. Steam Deck is currently listed as unsupported on Steam's compatibility panel.
TechRadar's launch review also reported no 21:9 ultrawide support and rougher results on a Legion Go S than on a high-end desktop. Future patch improvements are To be confirmed. Buy against the currently documented behavior, not a promised fix without a date.
